Only playing at Suncorp Stadium could really top today's BMS Kids Clinic treat for more than 30 boys and girls from the Moranbah Bulls and Frenchville Pioneers.

Well, that's exactly what is in store at half-time in the Queensland Reds vs Crusaders match on Saturday night.

Mini-games involving Moranbah, Frenchville, South Toowoomba and Peregian Saints will fill the 15-minute break.

Kids and families from the Bulls and Pioneers arrived early for a school holiday treat at Ballymore on Friday with a kids clinic run by Reds major sponsor BMS.

It had particular significance for Stephen Moore, the Managing Director of BMS Group, the global insurance broker.

Moore spent early years playing barefoot with a footy in Mount Morgan before joining Frenchville as his first rugby club. The same Stephen Moore went on to captain the Wallabies and play more than 100 Tests.

It's those strong country origin stories that are being celebrated with Saturday's match being designated as Country Round.

Regional Rugby Managers Joel Finnis and Tim McMahon-Smith ran today's clinic with the help of Reds squad members John Bryant, Thallon's own Charlie Brosnan, Dre Pakeho, Will McCulloch and Xavier Rubens.

For young Darcy Wallenhoffer, 8, the coaching clinic was a hit and the autograph hunting after Reds training.

"It was really fun and I liked running through the obstacle course and tackling the tackle bag," Darcy said.

Dad Mitch added: "This is a huge experience for the kids. Coming down to Brisbane has been totally worth it for the clinic and to watch the Reds train at Ballymore."

There are Central Highlands games ahead for Moranbah Bulls youngster Harry Kerr, 11, in May in Mackay.

"It's been really exciting to see all the players. The contact… that's what I like the most," young Harry said.
