Below are the current dates for the 2026 Queensland School Sport Rugby Union regional trials. These dates are accurate at the time of publication, however they are subject to change. Students and parents are strongly encouraged to regularly check with:

• Their school
• Their district or regional school sport office
• The relevant regional school sport website

Some regions may conduct district trials prior to regional trials. These preliminary trial dates are set at the discretion of each district, and it is the responsibility of parents/students to confirm these details with their school.

All students wishing to trial must obtain the official nomination forms from either:

• Their School Sports Director, or
• Their regional school sport website.

Students will only be permitted to attend trials once the required paperwork is completed and approved.

Attendance at a regional trial—and the associated absence from school—is only permitted when:

• The school has provided written approval, and
• Parents/guardians have also provided written consent, on the official regional trial nomination forms.

Players who fall outside the designated age window must complete the official dispensation process as outlined by Rugby Australia.
