What is the Positive Behaviour Program?
The purpose of the QRU Positive Behaviour Program is to:
- Ensure there is broad awareness and compliance with existing policies and procedures, and
- Provide supporting policies specific to the Queensland Rugby membership to reduce the number and severity of breaches in events for which we are responsible.
Rugby Australia provides a quality framework of policies to support positive behaviour including:
These are supported by training through the Rugby Australia Learning Centre for Code of Conduct within the Integrity accreditations for staff and players respectively.
Queensland Rugby Union have been working with the other state sporting organisations in collaboration the Department of Sport, Racing and Olympic and Paralympic in the Sideline Behaviour Roundtable.
The QRU Board has mandated the following directives in addition to the Rugby Australia policies:
- Green Socks Directive
- Foul Language Directive
