The wait is finally over for hundreds of young rugby players as the Sunshine Coast Rugby Union (SCRU) junior season officially kicked off over the ANZAC weekend.
The round held special significance as it coincided with ANZAC Day on Saturday, 25 April 2025. Junior teams across the coast, with a number of clubs took the opportunity to honour the legacy of resilience, courage, and mateship, values they carried from the memorial services directly onto the pitch.
The action began on Friday, 24 April, with the Junior Girls 7s leading the charge under lights and flowed into the 15 a side rugby on Saturday, 25th.
