A $250,000 investment allowed Souths Rugby Union Club to construct new and upgrade existing changerooms at Yeronga. The project focused on inclusivity and accessibility, supporting the growth of female participation and providing modern, fit-for-purpose facilities in line with the strategy’s objective to deliver welcoming spaces for all.

With $250,000 in funding, Easts Rugby Union enhanced its Norman Park facilities by upgrading changerooms and amenities. These improvements support greater inclusion, cater to growing participation, and align with the strategy’s goals of improving club infrastructure to meet modern standards.

Fund: Minor Infrastructure Facilities Fund
Goondiwindi Rugby Union was granted $191,486 to upgrade field lighting, enabling safer training and evening matches. This regional investment ensures continued access to quality rugby facilities, supporting the strategy’s push to bolster infrastructure in rural and regional communities.
Club: Brothers Rugby Club
Fund: Community and Recreational Assets Recovery and Resilience Program
Following the FY2021–22 disaster events, Brothers Rugby Club received $471,053 to restore the playing surface and ancillary infrastructure at Albion. This vital work has reinstated safe and playable grounds, demonstrating the strategy’s commitment to supporting clubs in times of recovery and resilience.

Fund: Community and Recreational Assets Recovery and Resilience Program
Queensland Rugby Union was awarded $1 million to restore ancillary facilities at Ballymore. This funding supports the reestablishment of the state’s key rugby infrastructure, reinforcing the strategy’s focus on safeguarding core development hubs and ensuring continuity in high-performance and community pathways.
Club: Caboolture Sports Club Limited
Fund: Active Gameday Projects
Caboolture Sports Club was granted $64,823 to upgrade lighting to a minimum of 100 lux at their Morayfield facility. This investment improves safety, match visibility, and training flexibility—critical components of the strategy’s goal to improve game-day experiences and enhance participation access across all levels of the game.
Queensland Rugby Union acknowledges the Queensland Government for its valuable support. Financial contributions through initiatives such as the Minor Infrastructure Program, Minor Infrastructure Facilities Fund, Community and Recreational Assets Recovery and Resilience Program, and the Active Game Day Project have significantly enhanced facilities across both premier and community rugby throughout the lifespan of the 2020–2025 strategy.
