A fourth Rauluni brother is on rugby’s radar with backrow tyro Joseph selected for the KDL Property Group Emerging Reds Cup.
Joseph is following in the footsteps of older siblings Eli, Isaac and Noah as an athletic performer for Nudgee College in GPS rugby.
He has earned selection in the South-East Queensland Gold Under-14s for the ERC which kicks off at Ballymore Stadium on September 22.
The four brothers are sons of Jacob Rauluni, the livewire halfback who featured in more than 50 games for the Queensland Reds and captained Fiji.
The Emerging Reds Cup has blossomed in a few short years to be a valuable elite pathway competition. More than 200 of the state’s best teenage rugby talents will be in action at Ballymore in U14s and U16s over the three days of action next month.
KDL Property Group has taken on naming rights as sponsor of the ERC for 2025 and beyond.
Queensland Country, the Brisbane Junior Rugby Union, South-East Queensland White and South-East Queensland Gold will contest the U14s.
The Queensland Country squad includes Minto Nalatu, the pacy son of former Reds winger Ricky Nalatu.
