Brothers Rugby Club have withdrawn their Women's team from the remainder of the 2026 Sumo Energy Founders Cup after advising the Queensland Rugby Union on Friday.

In accordance with the 2026 Queensland Premier Rugby Tournament Manual, specifically Rule 8.6(IV), Match Points (“for and against”) in all matches of such team(s) shall not be counted, and any Competition Points shall be cancelled.

The draw and ladder will be updated accordingly to reflect this.

Brothers cited "ongoing challenges with player availability" for the decision following the forfeit of matches in Round 14 and Round 16.

Clubs with fixtures previously scheduled against Brothers Women should note these matches will no longer proceed.

The administration behind this process is currently scheduled to take place on Monday, July 27. No changes will be reflected on Rugby Xplorer prior to this.
