Chilli Tonelli-Smith will make his return at fullback for the Queensland Under-16s in their key clash against the Western Force in Super Rugby U16s in Perth on Sunday.

The son of former Wallaby Brian Smith has versatility. He returns from injury after a season playing at flyhalf at Nudgee College and in the KDL Property group Emerging Reds Cup.

Returning for his first game of the Super Rugby U16s campaign is also timely.

It allows James Smith to slide from fullback to inside centre to replace Karter Iva, who does not play on Sundays because of his religious beliefs. The Reds know the significance of this match.

The Reds and Force are jockeying for second spot and a place in the final against the unbeaten NSW Waratahs.

The Reds have added size to the pack as they seek to dominate in this area.

Mitch Wallis, a product of St Patrick's College, Shorncliffe, brings 110kg of authority to hooker while Fraser Boakes, a lock by trade, will play at blindside flanker and add an excellent extra lineout target.

The Reds showed fine character to fight back against the Waratahs last weekend when down 34-0. They scored four tries in succession before going down 54-45.
