The Proserpine Whitsunday Raiders have advanced to the Grand Final of the Mackay Rugby Union A Grade competition, defeating the Kuttabul Camelboks 48-32 in the preliminary final.

The Raiders ran out 48-32 winners at Airlie Beach, keeping their season alive and setting up a clash with the Bowen Mudcrabs in the final.

After an arm wrestle of an opening half, the defending premiers proved too strong in the second stanza to run out 16-point winners.

Connor Spence, Brody Elson, Joel Hoffman and Enelaki Faataape scored for the Raiders, while James Kean and Jericho Maiava both crossed for doubles for the Camelboks.

Proserpine will take on Bowen this Saturday 17 September at BP Print Stadium.
