Round 3 of the Schoolgirls Super 7s Series hit the Sunshine Coast on Thursday 30th July, with Kawana Sports Precinct hosting a huge day of rugby action. A big thank you to co-hosts Sunshine Coast Grammar and St John's College Nambour for putting on a fantastic tournament.
The Glennie School continued their dominant run in the U18 division, taking out the title once again. This time it was Downlands College who stepped up as new challengers, pushing Glennie in a quality contest. With a fresh opponent testing them at every turn, Glennie's consistency across the rounds so far has been one of the standout stories of the series.
Kings Christian College continued to show why they're one of the sides to watch this series, backing up strong form in both the U16 and U14 divisions. Their depth across age groups is shaping up as a real strength heading into the back end of the competition.
The series now heads to its Championship Round on Thursday 20th August at Ballymore Stadium. This round brings a big change in format, with the competition splitting into Division 1 and Division 2 — setting up what should be the most competitive and closely fought action of the series so far.
