The Harvey Norman Heart of Rugby Regional Tour has travelled through Mackay, Moranbah, Emerald and Rockhampton, bringing rugby legends and unforgettable experiences to communities across Central Queensland.
Over four action-packed days, Classic Wallabies Morgan Turinui and Curtis Rona, alongside Wallaroos great Shirley Russell, have connected with hundreds of young players through school visits, club visits and free rugby clinics, sharing their knowledge, experiences and passion for the game.
Joining the tour throughout Central Queensland is CQ Regional Rugby Manager Jack Lloyd, who has been travelling with the Classic Wallabies to support the delivery of the sessions, strengthen connections with local schools and clubs, and help create memorable rugby experiences for young players across the region.
From classrooms to club training grounds, the tour has showcased the true Heart of Rugby—inspiring the next generation, developing local rugby talent, and celebrating the communities that make rugby thrive in Central Queensland.
A huge thank you to the schools, clubs, volunteers, families and participants who have warmly welcomed the tour at every stop.
One region. Four communities. One passion for rugby. The future of rugby in Central Queensland is stronger than ever.
