StoreLocal has extended their partnership with the Queensland Rugby Union (QRU) for a further two years through 2027, demonstrating their commitment to the QRU’s potential for further growth on and off the field.

The extension with StoreLocal shows the belief in the QRU's direction is shared with fellow major partners Alliance Airlines, Canterbury and Niltech, who have all re-signed in recent weeks.

Since joining with the QRU in 2022, StoreLocal’s investment has significantly elevated the StoreLocal Hospital Cup and women’s Premier Grade competitions, the StoreLocal Challenge Cup and StoreLocal Founders Cup.

Over the past two seasons, StoreLocal’s logo has also adorned the Queensland Reds playing jersey in Super Rugby Pacific and Super Rugby Women’s competition, with StoreLocal’s iconic light blue colours proudly and prominently displayed on the side panel of the jersey.

Highlights of the partnership to date include a visit from Queensland Reds players and staff to the villages of StoreLocal employees in Fiji, where StoreLocal’s call centre is operated, as well as huge Grand Final crowds at Suncorp Stadium and Ballymore Stadium for StoreLocal Hospital Cup deciders in recent years.

The StoreLocal "Local Heroes" content series, showcasing heroic people behind the scenes at Queensland Premier Rugby Clubs, has also drawn wide acclaim and struck a genuine chord with the club rugby community since StoreLocal joined forces with the QRU.

QRU Chief Executive David Hanham said: “Rugby has benefited from StoreLocal’s investment in the game in Queensland, and we’re proud to see them continue to grow as a strong national business throughout Australia.

"The StoreLocal team love rugby and want to make a difference. They truly care about the Queensland Rugby Union and the Queensland Reds and are committed to our journey and the opportunity to stand alongside us as we pursue continued growth and success in the years to come. I want to thank Hans Pearson, Mark Greig, and the entire StoreLocal team for their belief and partnership with us.”

StoreLocal CEO Hans Pearson said: “We are delighted to extend our partnership with the Queensland Reds Men’s and Women’s Super Rugby teams.

“The 2025 SRP competition has seen significant uplift in fan engagement and viewers, and the dynamic on field performances of the Reds teams have been a continuation of their recent strength."

"We are proud to be aligned with the QRU community and with the Reds professional teams and to contribute to Australian rugby’s resurgence over 2025 and beyond.”
