Niltech Consulting Founder Nilesh Singh knew his company’s partnership with the Queensland Rugby Union had clicked when six Reds players joined him to visit Suva Grammar.

As a proud old boy of the school, the international reach of the Queensland Reds was a huge winner as Singh relished connecting with the origins of his love for rugby.

The QRU is delighted to announce a 12-month extension of the successful partnership with Niltech Consulting which blossomed in 2024.

The Niltech logo will now be seen across the back of the playing shorts, training shorts and gym shorts for Reds’ men and women as well as the Queensland Sevens squad.

Brisbane is one of five hubs in Australia and Malaysia for the digital transformation consulting and realisation company. A sixth is being scheduled for East Timor.

Matching the right technological investment to customers is a priority.

The Reds visit to Suva in May to play the Fijian Drua crystalised everything Singh had noted about the Reds partnership in the prior three months.

“The partnership has surpassed all expectations. We are very pleased and long may it continue,” Singh said.

“It’s not only the corporate connection but the respect and personal touches we have seen all along.

“In Fiji, three players were to be part of a visit to my old school and six turned up. It had such a positive impact on the boys present at Suva Grammar from the First XV, the Under-17s and Under-15s. You’ll see Super Rugby Pacific players from that group.

“The highlight for me was seeing (Reds prop) Peni Ravai packing down with the First XV prop for the media and passing on advice. Seru Uru, Suliasi Vunivalu and Hunter Paisami were also among those players who attended.

“On the same trip, (Reds coach) Les Kiss spent time chatting to my 12-year-old nephew Krishiv.

“We’ve been invited to watch the Wallabies train at the BMS National Rugby Training Centre with other business partners.

“I like the way the QRU operate and that’s the executive team, the commercial team and the players. For us, as a partner, we’ve seen doors open and all through a common interest in rugby.”

Singh said the culture of the Reds was an ideal fit for Niltech Consulting.

“And I know the sponsorship works. When the Reds had that big win over the Crusaders in Christchurch, I had lots of messages because people were noticing the logo,” Singh said.

QRU Head of Commercial and Content Pete Fairbairn is delighted at the partnership extension with Niltech Consulting.

“Not only does Nilesh have a genuine passion for rugby, it’s clear the values of his company align with those of the QRU,” Fairbairn said.

“Niltech Consulting is a valued part of our partnership network and it’s great news to know they will continue to be so in 2025.”
