Rookie Ethan McFarland proved the hero, coming up with the clutch ankle tap to stop a last-minute Spain attack to level the scores and win the game.
Australia have continued their unbeaten start with a 24-17 win over Canada.
Maddison Levi continued their hot start with a first half double as the Aussies built an early lead.
Canada responded before half-time but tries to Faith Nathan and Heidi Dennis put the game out of reach despite two late scores to the Canadians.
Australia has nearly pulled off an epic comeback, going down 21-17 to New Zealand.
It was all New Zealand as Brady Rush’s opener set the tempo for a dominant first half, taking a 21-0 lead.
But the Aussies dug deep and launched a comeback, with Henry Hutchison, Dietrich Roache and Ben Dalton crossing to set up a grandstand finish.
Dalton had a chance to win it after the siren, with only a remarkable try-saving tackle stopping the try and securing the win to the Kiwis.
Australia have piled on the points to take a 55-0 victory over GB.
It's their largest win over the Brits In Dubai, with Tia Hinds starting off the rout in the opening ten seconds.
There were seven different try-scorers, with Kaitlin Shave capping off her return from injury with a double alongside Teagan Levi.

GB mounted a comeback in the second half, however, James McGregor's five pointer with two minutes to go shut down any thoughts of defeat.
