Following this morning’s announcement from the Queensland Government that lockdown in Brisbane and the Moreton Bay regions will be extended to 6:00pm AEST on Saturday, 3 July, Queensland Rugby Union (QRU), in collaboration with all nine Queensland Premier Rugby clubs, has made the decision to shift Round 13 matches to Sunday, 4 July.

Due to risks around player and referee availability, only the top four grades will be played on Sunday – Women’s, Colts 1, Second Grade and Premier Grade. Other lower grade matches will be recorded as nil-all draws and competition points split between teams. With regards to sixth grade, matches that were due to take place this evening will shift to the competition bye week on Friday, 23 July.

The match schedule for each host venue for Sunday, 4 July, is as follows:

Brothers v Souths – Crosby Park

10:50am – Women
12:10pm – Colts 1
1:30pm – Second Grade
3:05pm – Premier Grade

Wests v Norths – SciFleet Stadium

10:50am – Women
12:10pm – Colts 1
1:30pm – Second Grade
3:05pm – Premier Grade

Sunnybank v GPS – TFH Biggs 1

10:50am – Women
12:10pm – Colts 1
1:30pm – Second Grade
3:05pm – Premier Grade

Easts v University of Queensland – David Wilson Field

10:50am – Women
12:10pm – Colts 1
1:30pm – Second Grade
3:05pm – Premier Grade

If the Queensland Government decides to further extend the current lockdown beyond Saturday 3 July, the above match schedule will be abandoned, and further arrangements will be made and announced in due course.

If you have any questions related to the above, please feel free to contact your relevant club general manager or send us a private Facebook message.

In the meantime, please remain safe and follow the health advice with regards to the current outbreak.
