Rookies2Reds Program Information

REGISTER FOR A ROOKIES2REDS CLINIC

Popular junior Rugby program, Rookies2Reds, gives primary school-aged boys and girls the chance to emulate their Queensland Reds heroes while developing their Rugby skills.

Rookies2Reds is Queensland Rugby Union's inclusive, introductory Rugby program and provides Queensland kids with a pathway to progress from being a Rookie to a Red. The program connects participants and their families with their local junior Rugby club and Rookies2Reds centre.

Rookies2Reds registrations are now open and kids and parents can find their local centre by visiting https://bit.ly/Rookies2RedsClinic.

Through Rookies2Reds, boys and girls aged between 6 and 11 are taught the basics of Rugby while also learning about the benefits of a healthy and active lifestyle which is promoted throughout the sessions along with Rugby’s key values of teamwork, fairness and respect.

Lessons are structured around the needs of four distinct age groups; Little Legends (ages 6-7), Junior Champs (ages 8-9), and Future Stars (ages 10-11).

As well as professional coaching, participants also receive a special Rookies2Reds pack which includes a variety of gear including a drawstring bag, flat brim hat, Rugby ball, ball pump and a Family Pass to a Reds home game.
