The Queensland Rugby Union has announced a 75-man squad for the 2017 Junior Gold Cup U15 tournament.
These 75 players will be placed into three Queensland teams – Red, White and Blue – before they ultimately compete against interstate rivals in the U15 Junior Gold Cup program.
Each team will be evenly allocated talent in an attempt to strengthen each of the three Queensland teams.
The tournament will take place at Ballymore from Sunday, September 24 to Thursday, September 28.
The U15 Junior Gold Cup program is split into two conferences with the three Queensland sides set to compete in the Northern Conference along with Western Australia, Victoria and the National Indigenous team.
The winners of each conference will meet at Bond University on Saturday September 30 for the 2017 National Junior Gold Cup final, which will be played prior to the National U16 final.
Queensland’s squad features players from throughout the state including country regions Toowoomba, Rockhampton, Townsville, Gold Coast and Sunshine coast, among others.
