Queensland Rugby Union (QRU) has announced it has entered into a partnership with award-winning creative agency Khemistry.

The partnership’s aim is to grow Rugby union’s popularity across Queensland by continuing to improve its visual and digital products.

In the past twelve months the QRU has also struck partnerships with a digital focus with News Corp Australia and Duco Events Australia, which have assisted to carry Rugby’s message onto the devices of Queensland Rugby fans.

This new partnership with Khemistry is a natural extension of the QRU’s existing digital strategy.

QRU CEO Richard Barker said the arrangement would allow two prominent Queensland ground-breakers to enhance showcasing of the sport across new platforms.

“To partner with Khemistry will bring enormous creative opportunities, not only to our organisation but also to our other commercial partners,” Mr Barker said.

Khemistry Managing Partner Andy Fyffe said the prospect of working with QRU was appealing for many reasons, the most obvious being the organisation’s strong desire to keep pushing the envelope.

“It is incredibly important to us to partner with organisations that are passionate about the value of their brand and being innovative in the digital realm,” Mr Fyffe said.

“We want to work with those who share this passion and QRU is squarely in that space."

Operating in Brisbane for the past 12 years, Khemistry is a brief-to-broadcast agency that offers specialist in-house production.

It has won multiple awards for creative and digital campaigns, including collecting nine separate awards at the recent Brisbane Advertising and Design Club (BADC) award ceremony.
