"Following two days of trials on August 28 and September 11, the South-East Queensland Youth Girls Development Squad has been selected.Girls in U15 and U17 age groups competed from centers across the South-East including Hervey Bay, Sunshine Coast, Caboolture, Brisbane, Logan, Darling Downs and the Gold Coast.
The training squad has been selected from the U17 age group.
Those selected in this squad are asked to be available for a training session at Ballymore Friday the September 30 2016.
Girls from other regional areas of Queensland will also be identified and brought into the squad, where the Queensland Red and White Youth Girls Rugby Sevens teams will be selected.
These teams will compete at the 2016 National Youth Boys and Girls Rugby Sevens Championships at the University of Perth, 10-11 December 2016.
